We built PersonalBestPace because we couldn’t find a training tool that did everything we actually needed as cyclists. Most apps give you either the data or the plan — rarely both, and almost never a coach that adapts when real life gets in the way.
This is version one. It is functional, live, and free to try. Here is everything it does.
What is PersonalBestPace?
PersonalBestPace is an AI-powered cycling coach that connects to your existing training data — Strava, Garmin, and Wahoo — and builds a structured, adaptive training plan around your real fitness. It models how your body is responding to training load, tells you when to push and when to back off, and lets you have a genuine conversation with your coach in plain English.

Features
1. Data Sync — Strava, Garmin and Wahoo
Connect your accounts in one click using secure OAuth2. Once connected, every activity syncs automatically in real time. No manual uploading, no CSV files. We pull pace, speed, power, heart rate, elevation, cadence, and duration across all your activities and compare each metric against your personal history to detect records and trends.

2. Fitness and Form Modelling — CTL, ATL, TSB
The dashboard shows your current fitness, fatigue, and form using the same performance management model used by professional coaches.
- CTL (Chronic Training Load) — your fitness level, calculated over ~42 days
- ATL (Acute Training Load) — your current fatigue, calculated over ~7 days
- TSB (Training Stress Balance) — the difference between the two, showing your form
A positive TSB means you are fresh and ready to perform. The AI coach reads these numbers before making any recommendation.

3. Power Curve
Your power curve shows your best efforts across every time window — 3 seconds through 3 hours. Filter by all time, 12 months, 6 months, or 3 months. Watch your curve rise over a training block and see exactly where your strengths and limiters are.

4. Weekly Training Calendar
Set your weekly availability — days, hours, session preferences. The AI coach builds a structured weekly plan around your real schedule. The calendar shows planned TSS versus actual TSS so you can see at a glance whether you are on track.

5. AI Weekly Planning and Adaptation
The AI coach generates your weekly training plan based on your current fitness numbers, your goal, your availability, and your recent training history. It does not assign the same plan every week — it reads where you are and builds from there. When you miss a session, smash a PR, or your form changes, the plan adapts. The coach also leaves a weekly note explaining its reasoning.

6. Goal Setting
Tell the coach what you are training for: race preparation, base fitness, power building, or active recovery. Set an upcoming event date and the coach plans your entire build and taper around it.

7. Post-Ride Coaching Feedback
After every ride, the AI coach analyses your session and gives you a detailed debrief based on your actual power data, zone distribution, intensity factor, and TSS. This is not a generic message — it references your specific numbers and tells you what the session did for your fitness.

8. Conversational AI Coach
Ask your coach anything. It knows your fitness, your goals, your availability, and your recent training history. Ask what to train today, request a harder session, reschedule a workout, or push back on the plan. The coach responds in plain English and explains its decisions.

9. Send to Device
Once the coach creates a workout, send it directly to your Garmin or Wahoo with one tap. No manual entry, no FIT file downloads. The workout appears on your device ready to execute.

10. Personal Records and Achievements
Every activity is scanned for peak efforts across all time windows. Records are awarded gold, silver, or bronze based on all-time, 6-month, and recent periods.
